A non-surgical and reversible device for people with Type 2 diabetes and obesity. A non-surgical and reversible device for people with Type 2 diabetes and obesity is safe, effective and should be rolled out across the National Health Service (NHS), researchers say. The device – Endobarrier – is a reversible treatment that provides people with an alternative to drastic gastric bypass surgery. It prevents food from coming into contact with the first part of the small intestine, but without painful invasive surgery. Endobarrier consists of a 60-cm-long tube-like liner or sleeve that coats the inside of the small intestine, allowing food to pass through but not to be absorbed, which can be removed after a year. The procedure aims to kick-start a change in lifestyle and help people achieve better health, improve diabetes control as well as promote weight loss, the researchers said. Now you can treat your Type 2 diabetes and obesity with a device based medical treatment which is highly safe and serves the purpose of a total cure says a study. The treatment prevents food from coming into contact with the first part of the small intestine through a surgery. Participants reported considerable improvements in well-being, energy, and the ability to exercise, with around 94 per cent saying that they would recommend the service to their friends and family. For the study, presented at 2017 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting in Portugal, the team investigated whether this new therapy could be translated into major clinical success by creating a small NHS Endobarrier service for people having difficulties managing their Type 2 diabetes and obesity. Compare Affordable Gastric Band Surgery overseas Gastric Band Surgery 10 Golden Rules for Losing Weight Without Losing Your Mind Not everyone is good at losing weight. Some of us often need to try harder than others. A lot of factors influence the weight loss process, including age, gender, metabolism rate, diet, and physical activity level. In this post, we have 10 essential weight loss tips that will work, as long as you follow a good diet plan and exercise regime. 1. Do not stress. That’s one of the fundamental rules for losing weight. People often believe that spending hours in the gym is enough for losing pounds, which sadly isn’t true. You have to avoid over thinking about the entire process. 2. Sleep enough. An adult person needs at least seven hours of sound sleep each day, and this doesn’t mean taking small naps. You have to sleep enough so that your body can take the toll of exercises. 3. Don’t skip your breakfast. Your breakfast should be the first and most heavy meal of the day because your metabolism rate is at its best. Make sure that you eat the right things, which can include oats, eggs, and fruits. 4. Add some nuts and seeds. Craving for smaller meals and snacks is absolutely normal, but instead of eating cookies and junk food, you can switch to nuts and needs. A spoon of flax or chia seeds is ideal for every meal too. 5. Hydration is essential. You don’t need magic weight loss drinks. Just drink enough water each day, and if possible, opt for vitamin enhanced water. Also known as alkaline water, it can help in regulating the metabolism rate. 6. Ditch sugar. If you cut down sugar intake for a month, you will see some significant changes in your body. Avoid all sorts of food that have any form of refined sugar. Fruits also have sugar and should be taken in moderation. 7. Don’t miss your carbohydrates. People often believe that carbs should be ignored completely, which isn’t the ideal thing to do. Ideally, it is best to choose some of the complex carbohydrates, which require more time for digestion. Examples include oats and brown rice. 8. Do more of strength training. If you are extremely focused on losing weight from certain parts of the body, weight training and HIIT workouts are your best choices. Cardio is important, but it shouldn’t be the prime concern all the time. 9. Opt for tea, not coffee. A cup of coffee per day won’t hurt you for sure, but it is always best to go for teas. Compare Best Price Weight Loss Surgery In Europe cost of gastric band surgery uk Type 2 Diabetes and Healthy Eating – Going Vegetarian Can Be Healthy We have all heard eating a vegetarian diet can be good for our health. It helps… lower your cholesterol levels, keeps your calorie intake down, and increases your intake of nutrient-dense fruits and vegetables. But, are there instances where this particular diet may hinder your progress? As it turns out, there are. Let us look at three reasons why the vegetarian diet you thought was so healthy may be causing you more harm than good…1. A Vegetarian Diet Lacks The Amount of Protein Necessary For Recovery Following Your Exercise Routine. The first issue with many diet plans of this type is they just do not provide enough protein to help maximize recovery after exercising. After an intense workout, your muscle tissues have been broken down and need to be repaired. The way in which they repair themselves is by you eating more protein. If you fail to eat sufficient protein, your muscles may stay in a broken down state a lot longer than is healthy. Hence, you fail to see the progress you desire. If you are planning to eat a vegetarian diet, make extra sure you are getting additional protein. Try supplementing with soy or hemp protein powder to make sure this happens. 2. The Diet is Low In Iron. The second issue with vegetarian diets is they tend to be low in iron. Iron is best taken in from red meat, but that is not an option when eating vegetarian food. While you can get some iron from vegetarian sources, the iron is not absorbed as well in the body as it is when it comes from meat. Your solution? Supplement. Taking a quality iron supplement is a must do on any vegetarian diet approach. 3. Vegetarian Diets Promote The Overconsumption Of Carbs. The last issue with the vegetarian diet plan is it encourages the overconsumption of carbohydrates. Most vegetarian foods are very high in carbohydrates so unless you are taking care to balance them out with fats and then especially protein as noted above; chances are, you are getting too many. Think about how you can decrease your carbohydrate intake. Avoid processed foods and focus on adding nuts, seeds, and avocados to your diet plan. These will all help lower your carb intake while adding more healthy fats and give you the energy you need. Keep these three issues in mind. Going vegetarian can be healthy, but you do need to approach it in the right manner. Although managing your disease can be very challenging, Type 2 diabetes is not a condition you must just live with. You can make simple changes to your daily routine and lower both your weight and your blood sugar levels. Hang in there, the longer you do it, the easier it gets. Compare Affordable Gastric Band Surgery Abroad cost of gastric band surgery UK Weight Loss – Should You Do The Elimination Diet Plan? The elimination diet is one gaining in popularity as more and more people jump on the bandwagon and lose weight because of it. Is it one you should be doing? Do you have an interest in this diet but are not quite sure if it is for you? Let us look at this concept further to determine if this is a diet you should be investing your time in. If you’re reading this, I’m guessing you have tried an elimination diet (or have considered going on one) and you’re questioning if they really work. Who Should Try an Elimination Diet? If you suspect you have food sensitivities or other adverse reactions to foods (which often manifest as digestive issues, skin disorders, joint pain, autoimmune problems, trouble losing weight, fatigue, infertility, and more), an elimination diet is a key part of the healing process. Elimination diets remain the gold standard in confirming food sensitivities (even when lab testing has been done) and figuring out your unique “dose tolerance” to individual foods. By removing problematic foods, at least for a period of time, and then reintroducing certain foods, you can identify your reactive (or trigger) foods and which foods your body can handle If you do decide to try an elimination diet, planning is key. “Plan a shopping list so that your kitchen is stocked with alternatives, ” says Batayneh. That will help ensure that you get all of the nutrients your body needs-but none of the items that are on your list of now-forbidden foods. After all, even the tiniest little slip up can skew your results. Sample Easy Elimination Plan Meals Example 1 Breakfast: Oatmeal with almond milk, berries, and sliced almonds; and tea with non-dairy milk (such as almond or coconut) Lunch: a Large salad that includes avocado, onions, jalapeños, tomato, peppers, spinach, hemp seeds (optional), and spirulina (optional); tossed with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and nutritional yeast (optional) Snack: 1/2 cup raw nuts and seeds and almond milk cappuccino Dinner: Chickpea stew (try one of these recipes), leftover salad from lunch, and 1 cup cooked brown rice Dessert: 2 squares non-dairy extra dark chocolate See all stories on this topic Read more… × Click for Free Information Read more…

Compare Price of Gastric Banding Surgery Abroad cheapest gastric band Weight Loss – Four Tips To Prevent you from stopping your weight loss programme Worried about what could be stalling your weight loss progress? Have you been following your diet without missing a beat, seeing good results for the first few weeks and then suddenly, all improvements in your weight loss readings stopped? You might have been frustrated – ready to toss in the towel. But don’t be so quick to do that just yet! The fact is, you can overcome a weight loss stall with a few smart strategies. Let us look at what you need to know to get this handled… 1. Triple Check Your Counting. One of the main reasons people stop seeing results is they become lazy with their calorie counting. Remember, you must count calories accurately if you hope to see ongoing success. If you mistakenly miscount your calories, this could easily cost you your results. If you are 200 to 300 calories over each day, this will wipe out the progress you should be seeing. 2. Increase Your Macronutrients. Another thing to try is to raise your number of macros: your carbohydrates, protein, and fats. Or, if you have been using a higher carb diet, try a lower carb one instead as this might jump-start your progress. Likewise, if you have been on a low-carb diet, try a higher carb one instead. Sometimes a simple switch is all you need. 3. Try A Refeed. If the above fails, you might want to try a refeed. If you have been dieting for weeks on end, a higher calorie day or two could help restart your stalled metabolism, giving you faster progress again. Try eating 500 to 1000 calories more for one or two days, making most of those calories from carbohydrate foods. Then see if that doesn’t restart fat burning when you move back onto your fat loss plan. 4. Reconsider Your Approach. Finally, if this all fails, you may need to review your calorie intake entirely. Perhaps you need to adjust it down since you have lost weight? Remember weight loss requires continual adjustments, so do not be afraid to make changes as you go about your weight loss plans. Keep these tips in mind, and you can ensure you continually see progress on your weight loss plan. Anyone who starts making changes to their diet reaps tremendous health benefits almost immediately. One study revealed people who ate a low-fat, high-fiber diet, and who also added forty minutes of physical activity to their day, found… they lowered their blood pressure, improved their cholesterol levels, and reduced their insulin levels in just three weeks. Just ensure you keep your weight on the downward slope. Although managing Type 2 diabetes can be very challenging, it is not a condition you must just live with. Make simple changes to your daily routine – include exercise to help lower both your blood sugar levels and your weight. For nearly 25 years, Beverleigh Piepers has searched for and found a number of secrets to help you build a healthy body. Go to
