Are you gonna be doing a gastric bypass? Are you?’ Um, what?” Chrissy Metz revealed on the Today show on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017. “Some people do feel like they’re my doctors and they have tried to diagnose me on the internet. So that’s…that’s weird. ‘Cause like, I’m good. I’m good, boo. But thanks! But I’m good.” According to Us Weekly, the Emmy nominee previously opened up about her character Kate’s weight-loss journey on This Is Us, as she decided to undergo gastric bypass surgery in the NBC series’ first season. “It is a fast fix and it’s not always the right answer,” the former American Horror Story actress explained during her December 2016 appearance on The Ellen Show. “I think with the character, Kate, she wants a quick fix because it’s not about the food. Food is the symptom. We’ll get to see all the details.” Metz, 36, also revealed last November that she is contractually obligated to shed some pounds. “In our contact, it did state that would be a part of it, to lose the weight in the trajectory of the character as she comes to find herself,” she told TVLine, adding that she doesn’t mind. “That was a win-win for me. Weight loss

Compare Gastric Band Surgery Abroad Gastric Band Surgery The holy grail for weight loss is food that is tasty and enjoyable but low in calories, sugar and fat. That sounds like a tall order but there is a way of achieving that which few people have ever tried. That food is stored in your brain. It is the memories you have of your favourite “unhealthy” food. It is the experiences of you eating and enjoying it. By accessing those, you can enjoy your favourite food whenever you want to and eat as much as you want. Most people are surprised when I tell them that thinking about food can stop you wanting to eat it. That isn’t their normal experience. Usually, thinking about it makes them want it more. You have to think about the food in the right way though. You have to experience it with all your senses. You think about what it looks like, how it smells, what it tastes like and what it feels like to eat it. Doing this helps you to tap in to your remembered experiences of eating that food. It releases the chemicals into your body that are usually released when you enjoy eating something so you are left feeling satisfied. This means that you are likely to eat much less of that food if you have the opportunity to do so or the craving could even go away completely. If you would like to try this yourself, find somewhere quiet and think about your favourite food. Close your eyes and imagine eating it and think about all the sensations that you experience when you eat it. If you find that difficult at first then eat just a small mouthful so that you have something as a reference. Then spend about 5 minutes more imagining eating it. I know it sounds strange but if you struggle trying to resist tempting snacks, try it because this could really change the way you feel about weight loss. Using this technique takes away any feelings of deprivation. In fact you may well end up naturally eating less of other foods as well if you use the same thought process when you are eating real food too. If you watch TV, check your social media or are distracted by something else when you are eating then you aren’t getting the full value of that food. People tend to eat less when they focus on what they are eating because they are aware of the physical signals of fullness and also get the satisfaction of experiencing each mouthful rather than simply eating without tasting. So, focus on what you are eating when you are eating real food and imagine eating when the sugary cravings hit and you want to feel satisfied Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/9791769 Read more… for free no obligation information about gastric band surgery Click Here Read more…

A non-surgical and reversible device for people with Type 2 diabetes and obesity. A non-surgical and reversible device for people with Type 2 diabetes and obesity is safe, effective and should be rolled out across the National Health Service (NHS), researchers say. The device – Endobarrier – is a reversible treatment that provides people with an alternative to drastic gastric bypass surgery. It prevents food from coming into contact with the first part of the small intestine, but without painful invasive surgery. Endobarrier consists of a 60-cm-long tube-like liner or sleeve that coats the inside of the small intestine, allowing food to pass through but not to be absorbed, which can be removed after a year. The procedure aims to kick-start a change in lifestyle and help people achieve better health, improve diabetes control as well as promote weight loss, the researchers said. Now you can treat your Type 2 diabetes and obesity with a device based medical treatment which is highly safe and serves the purpose of a total cure says a study. The treatment prevents food from coming into contact with the first part of the small intestine through a surgery. Participants reported considerable improvements in well-being, energy, and the ability to exercise, with around 94 per cent saying that they would recommend the service to their friends and family. For the study, presented at 2017 European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Annual Meeting in Portugal, the team investigated whether this new therapy could be translated into major clinical success by creating a small NHS Endobarrier service for people having difficulties managing their Type 2 diabetes and obesity.
